Who We Are

Green Pistachios is a leading privately held Company located in Central Greece.

We work with a small group of trusted vendors and distributors to bring the finest pistachios to our growing community of shoppers worldwide.
Since we first started operating in 1970, we’ve seen a great deal of change in the local food scene and we’re proud to be playing our part in helping to alter tastes and perceptions about what Greek pistachio should be.

We grow, harvest, process, and market all kinds of Greek Pistachio to selected pastry and delicatessen stores throughout the world.

VALUE OF GREEK PISTACHIOS

The Greece’s dry climate, it’s poor soil composition and the proximity to the sea, give pistachios trees excellent conditions to flourish and to produce pistachio nuts  with extraordinary taste and fine quality. 
Many European countries import large quantities of Greece pistachio variety which has boosted the local economy. 

With a sweeter taste than its American and Iranian counterparts, the Greek pistachio is traditionally used as a crust for chicken, fish, or feta; soaked in honey and spooned over fresh yogurt; baked into syrupy desserts; ground and stuffed into sausages.

WHY US?

The company’s success is strongly related to its values.
Stefanos Papayfantis, the CEO and Founder of Green Pistachios holds a Master Degree in Agriculture Science at Agriculture University Of Athens. Specifically, his Master Thesis was about the “Pistachio Diseases” back in 1992. From then, dedicated his whole professional life in order to evolve the pistachio cultivation in Greece. Now, as an experienced agricultural professional with expertise in tasks such as crop management and fertilization, farm equipment maintenance and repair, and field cultivation is the appropriate ambassador for promoting our country’s pistachio worldwide.
Cultivating with strict rules of good agricultural practices and using only approved and authorized plant protection substances under the Greek and European legislation. Each batch is tested in every stage of the production process from the tree to the consumers, looking for pesticides residues, aflatoxins in order to privet from reaching to the consumers.
